Welsh Parlor, Haggar College CenterThursday, Apr. 3 | 1:00 PM | Free and Open to the Public |
The Campus Canopy Consortium's Living Exhibition will showcase interdisciplinary research collaborations among students, faculty, staff, and community members. This free event highlights our campus as a living laboratory; the visible and invisible benefits of the campus grounds and our 70-year-old Dedicated Tree Program that dates back to Sister Madeleva Wolff. Specifically, this event will illuminate the environmental benefits of our campus trees, the birds they host, the stories behind their dedications, and the poetry they inspire.
Please join us for:
• a series of workshops from students and alumnae,
• a presentation from a local Master Naturalist,
• a multimedia exhibit including an interactive digital map of campus,
• a walking tour,
• multilingual poetry readings, and
• free taco truck meal tickets for participants (limited availability)!
